What's the difference between selling direct and using a 3rd party?

 Selling direct means your brand is the seller of record on Amazon — you set the price, pay Amazon's fees and advertising, and keep the full retail margin. Selling to a 3rd party (a distributor or reseller) means you sell your product wholesale at a lower price and they list it on Amazon, keeping the retail margin and the control. 

Does selling direct actually make more money?

Almost always, yes — because you capture the full retail price instead of a wholesale price, net profit per unit is typically several times higher even after Amazon fees, ads, and management costs. Use the calculator above with your own numbers to see the difference for your brand. 

Isn't selling direct a lot more work?

What is the "Premium Beauty" toggle?
