Black Friday deal submissions should be ASIN-level commercial decisions, not a race to submit as many promotions as possible. This Amazon Black Friday deal checklist helps brands confirm that each offer is available in Seller Central, supported by sellable inventory, priced appropriately, and capable of meeting the brand’s contribution target after promotion, fulfillment, return, and advertising costs.
Amazon extended the 2026 Black Friday and Cyber Monday deal-sourcing window to November 13, creating time for one more review. The extension did not change the published inventory arrival dates or guarantee access for every marketplace, account, promotion type, or ASIN. Use the remaining time to assign each ASIN one clear decision: Submit, Fix first, or Hold.
Why Brands Need an ASIN-Level Profitability Review Before Submitting
The extra time is useful only if it improves the decision. A brand may still need to resolve a pricing warning, confirm a child ASIN, secure finance approval, or remove an offer that cannot carry the full cost of the event.
Make this a SKU-level review. For each ASIN, choose one outcome:
- Submit: The promotion is available in the account, the exact ASIN is eligible, sufficient inventory is sellable, the event price is approved, and projected contribution remains acceptable after fees and advertising.
- Fix first: A specific, resolvable warning, pricing conflict, listing issue, or missing approval is blocking a sound submission. Assign an owner and a deadline before November 13.
- Hold: Eligibility is unclear, inventory coverage is weak, or the offer produces negative or unacceptable contribution.
Run This Five-Part ASIN Check Before Submitting

1. Confirm the ASIN, Event, and Promotion in Seller Central
Start with the account-specific Deals Dashboard and Price Discounts workflow. Record the ASIN, child variation, event, promotion type, displayed price requirements, fee, warnings, and current status.
Do not rely on a general announcement when the event or product does not appear in the account. Eligibility may differ by ASIN and variation. A parent listing can look well stocked while only certain shades, scents, sizes, flavors, or pack counts qualify.
Submission is not the final control point. Assign an owner to monitor the promotion through launch because approval, pricing, inventory, or listing status can change.
2. Use Sellable Inventory, Not Inbound Hope
Review sellable, reserved, and inbound units separately. Compare current velocity with expected event demand, then protect the stock needed for Cyber Monday and December. Do not count an inbound shipment as available until Amazon has received it and the units are sellable.
Amazon’s published Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday arrival dates were:
- October 14 for Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) shipments.
- October 21 for FBA shipments using minimal shipment splits.
- October 28 for FBA shipments using Amazon-optimized shipment splits.
Those dates have passed, and the deal-sourcing extension did not reopen them. For variation-heavy categories such as beauty and pet products, review every child ASIN separately. Healthy inventory across the parent family can hide a shortage in the exact variation being promoted.
3. Approve the Price That Customers Will Actually See
Use the maximum deal price, minimum discount, reference-price rules, and variation requirements displayed in Seller Central. Amazon’s earlier holiday guidance said Prime Big Deal Days promotional prices would be excluded from the 30-day and 60-day lookback window used for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday maximum deal prices, but the extension did not otherwise relax pricing controls.
Check whether coupons, business pricing, or other discounts could conflict with or overlap the event offer. Then evaluate the required event price as a commercial input. A promotion can qualify and still leave too little room for fulfillment, returns, media, and profit.
Finance, marketplace, and media teams should approve the same price before submission. Otherwise, the advertising plan may be built on economics the offer cannot support.
4. Include Promotion Fees and Peak Fulfillment Costs
Amazon’s 2026 holiday guidance lists the same fee structure for Best Deals, Lightning Deals, and Prime Exclusive Price Discounts:
- $100 upfront per promotion.
- 1.5% of promotional sales, capped at $5,000.
Use the amount displayed immediately before submission as the final planning input because the promotion and account details shown in Seller Central may vary.
Holiday peak fulfillment fees apply from October 15, 2026, through January 14, 2027. Amazon also applies its 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge to fulfillment fees, including the peak fees. Model the ASIN’s actual size, weight, price band, fulfillment route, and expected units. Amazon’s Revenue Calculator, Profit Analytics dashboard, and Fee and Economics Preview reports reflect these peak rates and the surcharge.
5. Calculate Contribution After Advertising
Calculate from the promotional price, not the regular price:
Promotional revenue minus COGS, referral fees, fulfillment fees, allocated promotion fees, expected returns, and advertising equals contribution.
First calculate contribution before advertising. Dividing that amount by promotional revenue gives a simple product-level break-even ACoS ceiling when the same revenue basis is used. For example, $8 of pre-ad contribution on a $40 promotional sale produces a 20% ceiling. Spending above that level would push the order below zero contribution before any additional overhead the brand includes.
That ceiling is not a recommended target. Leave room for conversion volatility, cost changes, returns, and reporting differences. Media teams should receive the approved ASIN list, sellable inventory, promotional price, contribution requirement, and spending ceiling before bids or budgets increase.
For campaign structure, bidding, and December planning, use beBOLD Digital’s Amazon PPC holiday plan rather than expanding the submission review into a full media plan.
What to Do Before November 13
- Export the ASINs and promotions currently shown as available in Seller Central.
- Have marketplace, inventory, finance, and media owners review the same list.
- Record the displayed event price, promotion fee, sellable inventory, and contribution ceiling for every ASIN.
- Assign Submit, Fix first, or Hold, with an owner and deadline for every Fix first item.
- Submit qualified promotions before the final day when possible, then monitor warnings, approval status, price, inventory, and listing suppression through launch.
Why beBOLD Digital Recommends Fewer, Better-Qualified Event Submissions
The November 13 extension should change the timing of the review, not the standard for approval. The strongest event plan is not the one with the most submitted ASINs. It is the one that directs inventory and media toward offers that can stay available, convert, and meet the brand’s contribution requirement.
The broader principle is visible in beBOLD Digital’s Henkel Professional Beauty case study, which reports 30% revenue growth while ad spend fell 34% during a wider efficiency-led program. That result does not predict an individual holiday promotion’s performance, but it shows why growth and cost controls should be managed together.
Brands that need help aligning promotion readiness with holiday media can review beBOLD Digital’s Amazon PPC management services.
